Dalata Hotel Group acquired by Pandox and Eiendomsspar
The Dalata Hotel Group, Ireland’s largest management company, has changed ownership. The new owners are two developers: Sweden’s Pandox and Norway’s Eiendomsspar. The acquisition was worth €1.4 billion.
Dalata manages 56 four-star hotels. These hotels are represented by the Maldron and Clayton brands and are located in Ireland and the UK.
It is worth noting that the buyers had been negotiating the acquisition of Dalata for a long time. In June 2025, they offered €1.3 billion. However, the company rejected the offer. Two months later, the parties agreed on the amount and terms of the deal:
1. Pandox acquired approximately 92% of the business. The company specializes in the development and leasing of hotel complexes, mainly in Northern Europe and Sweden.
2. Eiendomsspar’s share was 8.5%.
3. Scandic Hotels Group will be the operator of Dalata Hotels. It is a strategic partner of Pandox.
4. Dalata shareholders will receive approximately €6.5 per share. This amount is 12% higher than the price before the deal was announced.

Dalata CEO Dermot Crowley called the deal a success. He emphasized that the company values cooperating with reliable partners who can contribute valuable management experience and help take the group to the next level.
The deal benefits all parties. The purchase will provide Dalata with significant capital to accelerate growth. Dalata intends to scale up its operations and is considering acquisitions outside the UK and Ireland. Dalata is currently reviewing proposals in Western and Southern Europe.
Leah Know of Pandox recognized the potential of Dalata and its portfolio of properties. The group’s assets include complexes that provide stable income. Additionally, most of them are located in attractive areas.
About Dalata Hotel Group
The Dalata Group came into existence in 2007. Pat McCann, the former CEO of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group, founded it. The company went public in 2014. During that time, the company acquired nine Moran Bewleys hotels. After rebranding, the hotels are now known as Maldron and Clayton.
Dalata’s portfolio also includes four independent hotels in three countries. Dalata has gradually strengthened its position in the UK and Irish markets. Its key properties include hotels in Dublin and Limerick. The Limerick hotel is considered one of the tallest in Ireland.
Following the acquisition, the company plans to continue implementing its hotel chain development strategy and expand its geographical reach.
