Which objects includes the resort project in Montenegro

By betting on the development of the tourism sector, Montenegro expands the offer in the resort area. A promising option for investment is the island of Lastovica, to which have already invested more than 6 million euros. It is expected that the money will go to the construction of a new luxury complex. The project of the resort has been agreed and work on its construction will soon begin.
Lastovica some time ago was an unremarkable region of Montenegro, but in just a few years it has become a comfortable resort place where holidaymakers from different countries come together. The Balkan state’s authorities, assessing the island’s full potential, decided to make it a world-famous tourist zone. For this purpose, the government attracts investors to create modern complexes, equipped beaches and other facilities for an unforgettable vacation. The project of the resort, for which more than 6 million euros has been allocated, includes the construction of a boutique hotel for 34 rooms. It will be located in Fort Mamula and include a restaurant, spa complex, gym, swimming pool and other elements. In addition, hotels, various shopping and entertainment facilities, water sports centers and a marina are planned to be built in the rest of the island. The authorities also want to reconstruct the already existing facilities and improve the infrastructure.

However, hotels and beaches in Lastovica are not limited to entertainment. There will also be created a memorial museum, dedicated to the events of World War II. This object was chosen for a reason – in 1942, a concentration camp was located on the island. Placement of this memorial construction is a mandatory requirement for the developer, which is engaged in regional modernization. In addition, a planetarium will be built here, as well as various art galleries, museums and scientific studios. Another entertainment will be a large aquarium. Already now the work on improvement of the resort area is estimated at 15 million euros, but the authorities continue to attract investments to implement all planned projects.
Construction of hotels and entertainment complexes will begin in a few months, and while details are being worked out and contracts with suppliers and performers are being signed.
Lastovitsa is not the only place in Montenegro, where the tourism industry is actively developing. Another luxury resort is promised in Bigova Bay. The new complex will include a hotel with 400 rooms and separate villas, designed for a total of 700 seats. The construction has already started, for which about 280 million euros have been allocated.
Montenegro can become an example for many countries in terms of how to benefit from the sea and the mild climate for their development and economic growth. The resort segment gives a good share in the budget and attracts more and more local and foreign investors.
