Atari and GSD Group will build special hotels for gamers
The American company Atari is a legendary developer of computer games, which took the industry to a new level. It appeared in 1972 and during this time has become the fastest growing firm in the U.S.. Despite the success and recognition in different countries of the world, the Atari management is not going to stop. The developer has initiated a new project – special hotels, in the construction of which GSD Group and several other developers will take part.
Atari company announced the creation of eight hotels under the same brand. These will be unusual complexes, which are equipped with the latest digital and gaming industry. The guests will be able to enjoy various services for virtual reality, the hotels will be equipped with modern conference rooms, cinemas, restaurants and fitness centers. Besides, the chain’s hotels will have special arenas where it is possible to conduct eSports competitions and studios for training.
The new GSD Group and Atari project will be the first in the USA. The hotels are aimed at people who are passionate about eSports and augmented reality technologies. GSD Group is responsible for the design and creation of the project, and Atari will receive 5% of the income of unique hotel complexes, in addition, the developer will be paid 600 thousand dollars in advance.
The opening of the first object is announced for this year. The hotel is being built in Phoenix, and then they will appear in Las Vegas, San Francisco, Denver, Seattle and other cities.
Investors have no doubts about the success of the project. As an analyst in this segment shows, last year more than 2.5 billion gamers spent on games about $152 billion. This figure is 9.6% more than was recorded in 2018. In addition, a great role in the success of special hotels is played by the developer – Atari brand is familiar to gamers in different parts of the world, its products are popular and bring positive feedback.
The developer of computer games is also developing in other directions. Now the most popular games of the company are created on the block-platform. This has become real thanks to cooperation between Atari and Animoca Brands.
